Benjamin has over twenty years of experience working with public and private sector organizations at the national and local level. He was formerly a career diplomat with the Singapore Government Foreign Service (responsible for political and economic affairs of the Greater China and Southeast Asian regions), and Executive Director for Medical Services International, a global international healthcare professional service organization with extensive involvement and presence worldwide. Benjamin has held a number of key leadership, operational and advisory positions focused on developing business growth in Greater China and Southeast Asia.
He has consulted and advised a number of corporate firms in strengthening their internal organizational and sales capabilities, consolidating and developing their business, operations and interests in Asia. Benjamin regularly conducts extensive corporate training for senior-level executives from different countries and sectors to improve personal and corporate performance. He has worked with top-level executives within international and Fortune 500 multi-national corporations and senior executives of national and local governments in Asia.
Benjamin has worked with a large range of blue chip companies, as well as a range of other non-profit, governmental, government-related and non-governmental organizations in China, Hong Kong and Singapore. In the finance sector, he has been an Asia-Pacific regional business strategy consultant, coach and trainer (especially for the Greater China and Southeast Asia markets) for several large asset management and financial advisor companies. He has first-hand experience doing investment fund management, set-up, fundraising, M&A, corporate/financial advisory, and investment/wealth portfolio planning with key institutional funds, family offices, investment holding companies, private equity firms, as well as ultra-high net-worth individuals.
Benjamin is multi-lingual and multi-cultural. Originally from Singapore, he graduated with a BA and MA from Cambridge University, completed executive training at Harvard Business School, and received a Graduate Certificate in Finance and Accounting from UK’s Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA). He has lived and worked in Beijing, Hong Kong and Singapore. He speaks, consults, coaches and trains in fluent English, Mandarin (Putonghua) and Cantonese. He is married with three children and is based in Singapore.
